Take a stroll along the 7 km (4.9 mile) Malecon, a water front esplanade that showcases the city's culture. Observe the day-to-day life of the locals, vintage American cars, and well-weathered hotels. Couples visit the seawall to take a romantic walk, and artists and philosophers can appreciate the area as well; people-watch is a prime activity. Be sure to bring plenty of water if you're wandering in the heat of the day; once the day winds down, consider grabbing a beer and finding a good spot to sit and watch the sunset. Malecon is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Mazatlan Edition.

Well maintained, clean & safe beachfront/malecon. Many great seafood restaurants. We were just about the only Americans there.
