  • A splendid place for a walk, to take an offer of a vessel and not miss the beautiful Bay of La Paz or for breakfast at the Capri which offers splendid breakfast. Indeed a very nice place.

  • Mature marine, which is well located in relation to the city of La Paz BCS, with good security and very spacious to twist and tie the yachts at the docks, channels features hotel and restaurant walk from the Marina, the only drawback I found is that restrooms and r egaderas are far from some springs. Rates are much lower than other newer marine

  • A small marina with some condominiums, bars and restaurants. Nice Promenade near the Boardwalk. To eat a little something by looking at the sea

  • Nice atmosphere with good restaurants. Be sure to marvel at the abundance of large fish attracted by the light. Beautiful site to see.
  • First, you should know, I was crewing on the sailboat and not the owner/skipper. This is a nice marina with wide docks. Good electrical hookups (2x50 amp). Non-potable water and strong cleats. The docks well lit and fairly new and there is good 24 security. While all of La Paz harbor is protected, Marina Cortez is the only marina without a rock breakwater. It is instead surrounded by large deep concrete docks which mitigate most wave action. There is a strong current which runs through the marina with the tides. The seawater is certainly not pristine like the beaches just a mile away but there is plenty of sea life including small fry and numerous fish of 10 to 12 inches. I also saw a small jellyfish. The showers are ok but a bit of a walk and upstairs in the main building. Several restaurants are on the waterfront.
  • Very expensive, the bathrooms are usually clean but the showers need help they go from boiling hot to freezing cold without warning. Kind of dangerous.
  • The slips are big and easy to maneuver a boat into. The staff are friendly and helpful and the residents on boats are very friendly.
  • Small beach with nice palapalas for shade. My dog could run about away from traffic

Where to stay in La Paz

The historical center offers some surprisingly budget-friendly options, with many small hotels and pensions clustered around the cathedral and the city beach. For something more luxurious, look about 10 km (6.2 mi) north of the city center, where you can find a few beach resorts offering swimming pools and exclusive restaurants.
