  • It is the fourth convent built in Mexico, by the Franciscans. The construction is as medieval and some details mudejar style. The guide told us that the wall paintings and carvings in stone were the work of the indigenous inhabitants of Huejotzingo. The convent has a central courtyard with arches and fountain. Need you more explanation to the works that are exposed there, it is recommended to hire Guide. In the square in front of the convent there are stalls where you can buy the famous Pink cider of Huejotzingo and rich peaches in syrup!

  • I was amazed with the incidental visit to this town, which had contemplated on the route. The ex-convent of San Miguel Arcángel de Huejotzingo has witnessed key moments in the history of Mexico. I had the fortune of a group tour guided by the chronicler of place, who told us in detail the history of the site from the time of the Spanish conquest, as well as an explanation on the architecture of the convent and the pieces of art novohispanic. Visit and learn more about the history of our country

  • The ex-convent of Huejotzingo (1525) is the first built after the fall of Tenochtitlan, its façade is sober and although boasts two small bell towers seem to a medieval fortification, this style is confirmed with the perimeter wall with battlements surrounding in which highlights their "hoods pose" one in each corner, which I recommend visit and admire his reliefs, some well preserved and representing angeles, cords and shields. The Atrial cross looks on the sill plate to the Center, also calling attention a couple of arches next to the façade, this by its dissimilar ornamentation. Inside has a nave on which you can admire the original wall decoration, the elaborate pulpit stone pile of baptism (still in operation); his old organ and a stone door with very good reliefs. Hints and tips:-suggested visit to Huejotzingo Park and the old town, there are some well-preserved mansions. -It is suggested to taste the famous cider of local development. Enjoy this religious place which is well preserved and the entrance is free. LIFE... is a trip!
