  • Visiting the cenotes in Homún is an extraordinary experience, each cenote has particular characteristics that surprise every person who visits them. It is highly recommended to have a day or two to visit as many as possible, you will not regret it. In our case apart from the incredible experience of visiting the cenotes we had an excellent guide, Mr. José Alejandro Huchim, who with his clear explanation, knowledge and kindness completed a memorable day; you can ask for it in the village, it is quite known for its motorcycle tours.

  • We visited 3 cenotes in Homun 1 hr from Merida, follow signs for Cuzama and there to Homun. They want to stop to give directions or take you or sell tickets is NOT necessary, you can get to them easily. Upon entering Homun you will see signs for Santa Rosa, Cenote municipal, with excellent facilities and parking at no cost, restaurant and showers. Entrance fee $40 plus $15 mandatory vest. You'll have to give yourself a shower to remove blocker and not contaminate. You'll go down some stairs and see how beautiful it is. It has a small area below where you can leave some belongings.. If you get here early, you'll be alone,. We arrived on Saturday at 11 and it was perfect. When we got out of there in your car you'll see a big palapa restaurant, there we had a delicious beer $35 We left the car and next to this the cenote Tza Uhun Kat, we could not enter since it had rained a lot a night before and as it is semi open was very scrambled , but in front of a few steps we enter another hersmosisimo with a very good lighting. I had clay to exfoliate you. And the pictures came out wonderful. Entry $30 vest $15. It is a wonderful experience that on no other side of the country, you will have, Alone in the southeast.

  • If you want to know the cenotes this route is a good option, you can get to the village and contact a motorbike taxi at $150 pesos and visit as a minino 4 cenotes, each amazing. For each cenote we were charged $35 pesos approximately the entrance per person, if you plan to swim it is necessary to rent a vest.
