Yalahau Lagoon, Holbox Island

Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web
Swim in a cenote at Yalahau Lagoon, where you can actually observe water coming out of the ground to make the pool. The crystal-clear water only makes it easier to see straight to the bottom, or traverse the wooden walkway that surrounds the lagoon for views and photo opportunities. This site is only reachable by boat; try to visit in the morning when dolphins gather here to eat. Make Yalahau Lagoon part of your personalized Holbox Island itinerary using our Holbox Island itinerary planner.

  • The place is very near by boat and road is father, we saw some dolphins that walked around. the fishermen are very friendly with people, even leave our belongings in the boat without fear that we were them to lose (we are city) the place is very nice must walk a few meters and delve into the mangroves to get, water is cold and many shout to enter but you can enjoy quite. you have a limited time to be as the boats come back, but is enough for awhile. as a recommendation to accept lifejacket offering the boat since it is deep and the water current.

  • The place is very beautiful where after the sweltering heat get to cool off. The view you have from the viewpoint is wonderful you can observe the contrast between the colors of the sea and vegetation. It is very beautiful!
