  • In general is very nice, to appreciate the animals, and even feed some of them. The best part is the safari, is an area open mostly where the animals are moving free and that is great. But many other animals need more attention and more space, the terrain is quite large, should to be used more for the care of the animals, some are even sad. Many were bred in captivity and that releasing them would be harmful for them, but work to give them a better environment would be great and really hope to do it :)

  • It is a Zoo/reserve where you will find animals and plants endemic to the region and some other similar from other parts of the world ecosystem. We left the hotel San Alberto near the center of Hermosillo and take bus route 11 (cobra 7 pesos) that leaves us at the entrance of the ecological centre. Entered it general is 60 pesos and 40 pesos for students. During the tour you can go and see many interesting plants with its common and scientific name and areas with animals of different ecosystems, there is a very nice two sea lions show, and then you can take a safari to feed the animals from the bus. Overall was nice though if facilities are somewhat neglected, and does need more surveillance (for safety of the same animals) all bothered it was having to hear local tourists who only communicate loudly and disturb the stillness of the place, but it is independent of the ecological centre. Area of the safari with very disorganized staff (teenagers) don't know keep order in the row, and continuing with the tour there is a small museum where the guides (adolescents also) do not give you very ambitious information. At the end there is a small farm where there are goats, donkeys and other animals, could be improved the appearance of this area since it is childish and the appearance is not very friendly to the traveller. Despite all this is a beautiful journey that can not miss on your trip to Sonora.

  • And I'm not saying that it should be closed because the place is ugly, on the contrary, it is a good place that highlights the beauty of the region, I mean that should be closed this and all the Zologicos, because the animals, should be in their natural habitat.
