Jardin de la Union, Guanajuato

4.7
Known as the social heart of the city, Jardin de la Union serves as a common meeting spot for tourists, locals, buskers, and even shoe-shiners. Surrounded by restaurants and Indian laurel trees, the late afternoon draws crowds to the small civic garden. Admire the gazebo in the center of the park, or relax under the shade of the fascinating trees that encircle the garden. Nearby, you'll notice a selection of restaurants, as well as the beautifully designed theater directly opposite. • A nice, albeit a smaller park, where it is constantly a lot of people and stalls. At the time of my visit here was Narrator of Jules Verne novels and positively surprised me the amount of listeners. This garden is definitely worth visiting.

  • My favourite place to hang out. Great for people watching and occasional and most pleasant interactions. Always an abundance of activity, especially in evenings. Full symphony performances on the gazebo. A magical place.
  • Beautiful landmark in the city. It used to be the Garden of the church of San Diego & part of a convent complex. Today is surrounded by restaurants & musicians that create a colourful ambient. There's wonderful live music in the kiosk every wednesday afternoon.
  • This is a little park, right in front of "Teatro Juárez". From coffee shops to bars & little restaurants, this place is a little corner to spend some time in the core of Guanajuato.
  • This Plaza comes alive! Guanajuato Symphony plays there through the week. It is always clean and safe.
  • Amazing place in the center of town, great place to avoid the heat of the day surrounded by live music and happy folk
