Categories: Churches, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
Guadalajara Cathedral serves as one of the most prominent and oldest buildings in the city, dating back to the mid-16th century. This seemingly imperishable church has been damaged time and time again from earthquakes in the region, only to be faithfully restored. The grand interior features statues of various religious figures, stained-glass windows, marble and silver altar, and a pipe organ. Visit the rear of the cathedral to find an entrance to a museum that features paintings, chalices, veils, and other artifacts of the Spanish Catholic period. • Quite and peacefull place for praying. This Cathedral has a great srt collection, take your time to visit and enjoy every piece of art.
  • But we must not underestimate its peculiar inner altars, which highlights the idiosyncrasy of the tapatio much since colonial times, to admire the neoclassical, or for religious visit there are some relics and a mausoleum.
