  • Beautiful ravine! Had a great time hiking down and up a different way. We put in about 4 hours and were on our ascent when my friend suffered from a significant cramp. Within 2 or 3 minutes, however, ...  more »
  • To all those who think to visit the barraca, advise go with frozen water, sportswear and tennis in thick-soled if not the stones will make you suffer. Input does not have any recommendations of what truly visitors you will find, the descent is endless and somewhat unpleasant not only because of the irregular path and the garbage that no one seems to care, but also by the tombs that along the way is p You may see. If you don't have good physical condition, I do not recommend to download it and less with older people or children. Once reached the end, there are several roads so try and go with someone that if know the area not to be missed as happened to my friends and my. What they say was a beautiful River, today is something scary and foul-smelling. After all before this, the Archdeacon bridge which was built in 1894 is, it is worth mentioning that this bridge was the first bridge in Mexico and the second American. Unfortunately it was destroyed in the year 2005 and a reinterpretation of the bridge in a lot next to the first location was opened in January 2013. So it makes it a diamond in the middle of the undergrowth. In an earlier Guadalajara visit I fail to find it still in the hut, but this look if I did and I regret not of all the adventures of the road, because the bridge and the vegetation around are beautiful.

  • Came to this area a few yes ago for about 6 months and was a great hike,i usually hike a lot back home in California and hike all areas around los Angeles and this was a great experience..
  • The best place to look nature the best viu ever
  • Barranca generally is worthy to visit for hiking experience. In this area you can find small pools with thermal water. Interesting experience. To Barranca always bring minimum two big bottles of water, trust me.

Where to stay in Guadalajara

If you want proximity to historical attractions and convenient access to public transport, you'll be able to find something to suit any budget downtown, with the central thoroughfare of Avenida Juarez offering perhaps the widest range of options. Slightly southwest of the center, the neighborhood of Ciudad del Sol also offers a good selection of budget-friendly options, while in the southeast, Tlaquepaque--formerly a city in its own right--features some fancier hotels in a more relaxed setting.
