Cave
Observe the spectacular natural phenomenon of a blowhole at La Bufadora, as water shoots up to 30 m (100 ft) into the air. Caused by ocean water becoming trapped and then expelled from a marine cave at the bottom of the cliff, the a rare geological feature stands out as one of the largest blowholes in North America. Peruse the multitude of street stalls in the area, selling an array of trinkets, and consider timing your visit with high tide, as that's when the spout offers its most spectacular performances. Don’t forget to bringe change for the restrooms. Add La Bufadora and other attractions to your Ensenada trip itinerary using our Ensenada itinerary planner.

  • Be prepared for crowds and open market vendors. Do get the seafood grilled on the clam half shell, so good! Vendors accept both pesos and dollars.  more »

  • Beautiful, beautiful place to visit. The staff was awesome, and the grounds were so clean. We were happy to see the animals taken good care of, and the price was more than affordable.
  • Nice views: This was an excursion by Carnival cruise and we got transport there by bus. The marine geyser is good. The views of the surrounding ocean side are spectacular on a sunny day. Just watch out for all the vendors who will try to sell you stuff at an inflated tourist price. Returning back to the car park, there are restrooms and you have to pay to use them. It’s cheap and pays for cleaning.
  • This place is a wonderful creation by nature and care by friendly people if you travel by car avoid buying stuff not related to this location . If travel by sea you really have no choice .
  • Lots to see. I highly recommend getting the ahlmejas con camaron. They are clams with cheese shrimp and a good sauce!
  • BEWARE!!!!!! PLEASE READ!!!!! Nice view. Just don't get scammed by the vendors. If one of your party knows Spanish, they'll distract that person so they can overcharge those that don't. They did that to me and my wife and it ruined my day. Paid $15 for a pinnacle pina collada. I asked several times, "How much is it?", after my wife asked in Spanish. When they noticed I didn't speak the language, some guy immediately struck a conversation with my wife(taking her out of the equation). The lady making it ignored me while another guy kept trying to talk to me. Before I new it, I had a pineapple with collada in it(nonalcoholic) in my hand while being asked to pay $15. Ripped off.
