  • We booked our trip to Dolphinaris via our Cruise Line, it cost us $89 for a return journey (shared journey), a Dolphin Encounter, Open-Bar, Buffett Lunch and Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Snorkelling. ...  more »
  • We booked this online and were not disappointed. It was a short taxi ride from the cruise dock and cost $8 each way. The entire place was extremely clean and we watched while they fed the dolphins. Th...  more »

  • 3 pictures cost $75!! And the pictures don't even come out great! So it's best if you have one of your friends out on the side to Record or take pictures! The dolphin ride is literally 5 seconds and you can't do it more then once! The food isn't that great either! I would not recommend this place to anybody! Unless you want to get ripped off !! (:
  • Swam with the dolphins today, which was amazing. But I accidentally dropped my underwater camera during the excursion, which I didn't know was prohibited because NOBODY told me. The "instructor" harshly criticized me for "disrespecting him", although he never mentioned anything about cameras prior to the "encounter". Fortunately, the dolphin trainer was much kinder and retrieved it for me about an hour later. Not sure that the enclosure is adequate in size for the several large, beautiful beasts they keep there. I am sure the critters would prefer to be swimming freely, but at least they appeared to well fed...and form a selish standpoint, it was still an amazing experience. There was also a rather rude receptionist (Angela? Angelica?) who made no attempt to understand my "developing" Spanish". I am quite sure my basic Spanish was much better than her "English", but after insulting me (yes, I understood every word you said) , she rudely pushed me off to the male receptionist who was actually kind, bilingual, and quite fluent. And, and though I paid for the full package, I see now that nobody bothered to show me the snorkeling pool, or even mentioned there was one. Customer service, people! It is your job..
  • I went with no expectations and not sure I would like it. It was awesome! The staff is friendly, the dolphins are well cared for and the staff truly care about them but the facility was amazing. The snorkeling pool was filled with fish, sting rays and truly the best snorkeling I have done. We could also go kayaking and paddling boarding all with our 3 hour admission. Also included is free drinks and food. Best deal and experience. So glad I did it and will return in a heart beat.
  • I don't understand where some of these reviews are coming from. They seriously make no sense. It's average. Do not book from the cruise you will save by just booking it yourself online or with an agent from Dolphinaris at the port. You will spend about 1 hour total and interact with the dolphins for 20 minutes. You kiss, pat, and ride them for about 5 seconds. The groups are large and most of the time is spent waiting for your turn. They take pictures. The pictures are very expensive, but the prices are not set and they will give you a 'secret deal, shhh don't tell anyone' is what they whisper. You can get all your photos for 100 bucks. The food is average. There is nothing else to do here, no snorkeling/swimming/beach. You can rent kayak for 15.00 but it was closed when we were there. This is an average dolphin experience. It's better in most other places. We didn't have a bad time but we would not go back.
  • The resort, that was what it felt like, was clean and beautiful. The food was fresh and tasty and the instructors were efficient and friendly. I enjoyed my time there-- even though the contact with the dolphin was not a ton.

Where to stay in Cozumel

Most accommodations in Cozumel line the island's western shoreline, offering excellent beach access and the airport. Avenida Rafael E. Melgar provides the widest range of hotels and private rentals, with some of the more spacious and relaxed options sitting around 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the town center. Budget-conscious travelers should look to the main township, where a selection of smaller guesthouses and pensions can be found just a few streets back from the beach.
