  • Beautiful resort with multiple pools and nice beach. Food was mediocre and not even Mexican, burgers, hot dogs, pasta. The outside bartender Freddy looked like he hated his job, bar was not even ready at...  more »
  • Place with excellent service and structure, with good food and good service. Structure in a great beach, but the Fort is the large swimming pool. I highly recommend for those who want to spend a relaxing day.

  • There were six of us from the cruise ship and we spent the day at Allegro, Food was good but not as good as the food on the grill during the cooking demo. The kayak was a little choppy but fun. The ba...  more »

  • The third stay was great. We really love this place, especially our son (4y). Lots of many things to do with kids. Ground staff were really kind, accommodate us as I wanted to be like last time. They did it. Love this beach, sea and atmosphere. This is the nice to see that life is going and everyone stay. Thank you so much!
  • I really enjoyed my stay here at this resort. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I felt really safe and secure. Bartenders really knew how to make those drinks. The food overall was good! I only knock it down a star because I wish the activities would be open later in the evening. Snorkel, kayak, etc....do it before 4.....a lot of sunlight still left for the day!
  • Love the resort layout. I appreciate the kid-friendliness. Perfect range of quest ages. I ended up upgrading my First Club membership from bi-annual at Grand Xcaret to yearly here. I love walking out of my room in the morning, walking 10 feet to First Club, having breakfast, then walking another 70-80 feet to the dive shop for a day of scuba. Awesome. Maddy is awesome. Servers, housekeeping, and Pro Dive are awesome. The food keeps improving, but still has some ways to go. Wish they didn't remove the old palapas! Thanks Barcelo! (not)
  • I scheduled a stay here through funjet since it was one of the top rated resorts before I read any negative reviews. After the trip was scheduled and paid for, I then saw all the negative feedback and prepared my family for a not so fun vacation. I will address most of the negatives with my experience. Room availability - We were in our room within 15 minutes of arriving Room cleanliness - Very clean Food - Great, something for everyone Housekeeping - Worked very hard all day Maintenance personnel - Light fixture not functioning, fixed within 5 minutes Mosquitoes in room - non existent unless door left open too long, shower screen keep them out. Safe - Previous reviews stated old rusty safe. Our safe was new Housekeeping thefts - Left money out as a tip, never taken. Had to personally give it to them. AC - VERY cold, froze our butts off first night, we didn't see the extra blankets about safe shelf area. Mini Fridge - Always stocked Gap under front door - Towel on floor, fixed. Overall, it was an amazing experience. The pools are ok in my opinion but my kids loved them, they couldn't care less and I picked this resort with the kids in mind. The beach was awesome which made for some great snorkeling. I stayed in building 34, the buildings on the other side were being remodeled which were looking very nice, looking forward to going back.
  • Low cost. But you get what you pay for. Food is good, and the beach is awesome. Old hotel but they're remodeling.
