  • I host at this Hotel for one night for business reasons. Public areas facilities and rooms are good. Especially for the family focus. But the bass was very surprised. Level of food both in variety and renewal of trays. Today at breakfast happened the same. Distressing is that even the kitchen employees complain to you that the chef has no them enough products to give a good breakfast that penalty this Hotel with such good facilities, both lost on the issue of food that is as basic to a good stay

  • The rooms are very well, it is a small but very nice hotel. The good: rooms nice, very comfortable beds and very well stocked mini bar, excellent unbeatable quarters clean, the air conditioning of the room excellent. The oriental restaurant excellent, a dinner service very nice very good Italian restaurant smoothies in the excellent breakfast bar very good drinks. The bad thing: sell many day passes, the restaurant is filled and are not able to meet the demand. Sunday breakfast was very unpleasant, we had to wait half an hour for the omelette. everything ran very fast and in general the restaurant was dirty because it had too many, too many people pass day generally displeased us much experience with excess of day passes. The pool bar was closed one day and the splash also uncrowded. (It is understandable, but not they warned) There were no daytime. We had to ask three different people to use the Teens Club, we could not use it, they never gave us the key and they said that they were in process of closing it. My two teenage children were left with the desire to enter. Animation (Raul) Chief said that they could not open it because the was busy in the towel, while in reception they gave another excuse. We only use the kids club for my youngest son one day and the girl attending didn't know where things were, since apparently the person who is normally in charge that day was not to work. really very bad service on Sunday 20 at breakfast in Topaz. Very bad that we could not use either the teens club since that day was raining and not allowed the use of pools, there was nothing else to do I would like to mention alejandro x'canche and ricardo sanchez, both in the oriental restaurant, gave us an excellent service

  • To be clear, we were NOT on a day pass. Our package was the Ultimate Dive Experince. We spent the week of 8/15 to 8/12 at Allegro Cozumel. Party of 9; two 14 year olds, then adults from 45 to 64. Thre...  more »

  • Amazing resort. Great, attentive staffs, always ready and willing to help. Been here twice and both times they exceeded my expectations. Food is great in the restaurants and in the first club area. Its pretty good in the regular buffet areas but not as good as everywhere else. They have TONS of activities that go on throughout the day. Ive only experienced this resort as a first club member, but everyone seems happy. However, I highly recommend going first club. Well worth it if you have the time to vacation twice a year. The extra weeks are given to friends and family. Ive seen the Occidental Grand, and even though thats "5 stars" this one seems way better. I have family that have been to both and the older ones enjoyed the grand, but the 'more fun' ones like Allegro.
  • The service was amazing. If your sitting on the beach they have waiters walking through getting you your drinks so you don't have to get up. Also the shows were great and entertaining. I would have gave them 5 star but the food was not the best. It was a buffet setting and each night was a themed night. They had Italian, Mexican, Western. They also have 2 specialty restaurantstores that you can make reservations for and we could only go twice since we were staying 6 days since it is based off how many days your staying. American waiters could learn from the waiters at this resort. They were always there refilling drinks and clearing off tables. The resort was very clean and well kept. The beach was also well kept. Also I would recommend to go downtown and do some shopping.
  • We stayed at allegro for 6 nights and our experience was really great. We booked the superior room and while it was not jaw dropping it was nice (and to be honest, how much time do you really spend in your room when on vacation). The service was fantastic, everyone is really friendly. And the beach is great for snorkeling (which is included in your stay-but limited to one hour a day :/) Overall, great experience!
  • We did the ultimate dive experience and found it was wonderful. We loved the Mexican restaurant which has the nicest View and is open air. But the Japanese restaurant was also very good. Great value for your money -the diving is wonderful. The resort it's very clean and everyone is very helpful. The only downside was the internet. Don't mind paying but should be able to place 3 devices on one account, 2 computer one cell at least
  • I had a bad experience both with hotel and staff. I got this hotel for the kids club which wasn't ready they were working on construction and promise to finish the next day we arrived which was a lie. I left within a week and it was still not finish it was a total disappointment, my kids didn't enjoy it because the bigger pools were too big for them. One of the staff members Sergio offer us a tour a private tour to some of the local beaches for $260 when we arrived it was not even a private tour and we didn't even fit on the boat which is already full. He lied to us just to get paid. We asked for our money back and he insisted he would bring it back at 6 p.m because it was in his locker at the other hotel 😒 I didnt understand why would it be there. Totally bad experience. Very dissapointed.

Where to stay in Cozumel

Most accommodations in Cozumel line the island's western shoreline, offering excellent beach access and the airport. Avenida Rafael E. Melgar provides the widest range of hotels and private rentals, with some of the more spacious and relaxed options sitting around 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the town center. Budget-conscious travelers should look to the main township, where a selection of smaller guesthouses and pensions can be found just a few streets back from the beach.
