  • I host at this Hotel for one night for business reasons. Public areas facilities and rooms are good. Especially for the family focus. But the bass was very surprised. Level of food both in variety and renewal of trays. Today at breakfast happened the same. Distressing is that even the kitchen employees complain to you that the chef has no them enough products to give a good breakfast that penalty this Hotel with such good facilities, both lost on the issue of food that is as basic to a good stay

  • The rooms are very well, it is a small but very nice hotel. The good: rooms nice, very comfortable beds and very well stocked mini bar, excellent unbeatable quarters clean, the air conditioning of the room excellent. The oriental restaurant excellent, a dinner service very nice very good Italian restaurant smoothies in the excellent breakfast bar very good drinks. The bad thing: sell many day passes, the restaurant is filled and are not able to meet the demand. Sunday breakfast was very unpleasant, we had to wait half an hour for the omelette. everything ran very fast and in general the restaurant was dirty because it had too many, too many people pass day generally displeased us much experience with excess of day passes. The pool bar was closed one day and the splash also uncrowded. (It is understandable, but not they warned) There were no daytime. We had to ask three different people to use the Teens Club, we could not use it, they never gave us the key and they said that they were in process of closing it. My two teenage children were left with the desire to enter. Animation (Raul) Chief said that they could not open it because the was busy in the towel, while in reception they gave another excuse. We only use the kids club for my youngest son one day and the girl attending didn't know where things were, since apparently the person who is normally in charge that day was not to work. really very bad service on Sunday 20 at breakfast in Topaz. Very bad that we could not use either the teens club since that day was raining and not allowed the use of pools, there was nothing else to do I would like to mention alejandro x'canche and ricardo sanchez, both in the oriental restaurant, gave us an excellent service

  • To be clear, we were NOT on a day pass. Our package was the Ultimate Dive Experince. We spent the week of 8/15 to 8/12 at Allegro Cozumel. Party of 9; two 14 year olds, then adults from 45 to 64. Thre...  more »

  • Rooms are full of ants, bugs and roaches, when I complained about the insects in the room and that my suitcases were covered in ants I received a complimentary bottle of wine and a can of Raid. After 3 days I was finally moved to a different room that was better but not much. Customer service does not exist in this place, only 1 place for lunch and breakfast and dinner without reservation for the entire resort so they get very crowded and they are not air conditioned, hotel advertising shows cabanas on the beach, in reality there are none, no umbrellas on the beach at all, not nearly enough umbrellas by the pool, so there's very limited places to hide from the sun. The drain in the picture had to be cleaned by me after few days in the new room, and that's not my hair.
  • Just a fantastic week away. Gorgeous natural grounds, kept perfectly manicured, lovely beach with lots of shade, three pools, never a fight for beach or pool chairs, clean and well maintained everywhere. Upgrade to First Club or higher for the best rooms, but basic rooms are still very nice. I am not 'a drinker' - but I really appreciated that the bars had 'proper' drinks. I was able to get blender drinks with real fruit, not the nasty synthetic mixes that haunt lower end resorts. Food was a bit on the basic side, but we always found several things we were happy to enjoy for dinner. They always had fresh fish and several other meat options. People are SO friendly and smiles and hugs abound. We would return in a second.
  • Allegro Cozumel was a great time! Great resort very clean and the staff were amazing. Victor Amilton was great at organizing activities during the day such as Bingo. He made sure the guests were well entertained during the day and that everyone was having a good time. Overall I would recommend staying at this resort.
  • We had a fantastic stay. Resort is beautiful, clean and new. Staff is amazing. Special thanks to Mirna for making my proposal and wedding day go without a hitch. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Another special thank you to Sergio in the dining room, fantastic service and always a special surprise every day. There was Monica and many others who went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I have to say, they made this the best vacation Lisa & I have ever had. Thank you all again for the wonderful stay.
  • This small and quiet resort is perfect for families. Beach is accessible and drinks were never empty. The food was ok. Also, you can only make 2 reservations to 3 restaurants if you stay 5 to 7 days. The room was small but service was good. There is a nice dive shop at the resort for scuba divers. Our bathroom had a sewer smell which is annoying. The kids pool with slides were a big hit. Overall, if you like a small family resort, then you'll like Allegro.

Where to stay in Cozumel

Most accommodations in Cozumel line the island's western shoreline, offering excellent beach access and the airport. Avenida Rafael E. Melgar provides the widest range of hotels and private rentals, with some of the more spacious and relaxed options sitting around 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the town center. Budget-conscious travelers should look to the main township, where a selection of smaller guesthouses and pensions can be found just a few streets back from the beach.
