Although we could find on the Internet unfortunately almost no information about the Cascadas Basaseachi we went. And it was really worth! Because we there were in August (rainy season) the waterfall had plenty of water, and the landscape was beautiful green. I recommend it to anyone, in this time of year to travel. We are hit by Cuautehmoc of la junta. We drove 3 hours to the waterfalls. The streets were passable but good and the scenery is quite varied. Who is on the road with private or rented car still very carefully should drive because even the heavy traffic on the winding road goes and obviously not usual ist(!) mountain driving. It is also helpful to use the engine brake. The waterfalls are well signposted, there are toilets, everywhere and in Basaseachi an Oxxo. You can from 2 sides to the waterfall to a vantage point and right there where the water down shoots. From there you can go also all the way to the bottom, it is but very high. From the viewpoint to the waterfall, there is a beautiful route, approximately 1 / 2 h on foot. If you want to stay not only on the concrete paths I empehle boots. Also, you recommended us out to be because the Narcotrafficantes during daylight hours from the Sierra. It was us not very gefählich but who is wise in thinking. During the day, it is not hazardous, and the Mexicans in general are happy to help. Absolutely worth a visit! It would be better to spend the night in Creel, then you must not so much drive and has more time there.

The Park is located in a forested area of the State of Chihuahua. The road through the Sierra Tarahumara has landscapes that leave Nice memories of her Majesty and incredible beauty. The waterfall that gives the Park its name is amazing and the views from the observation deck are breathtaking.

It requires some travel to get to this national park but from the vista point, we could imagine how the falls would be amazing snuggled into the canyons and cliffs. It was at the beginning of the rain...  more »
