  • Visit to do if you are in Bacalar for several days. It takes a little more d an hour to reach the site on roads accessible by car (not 4 * 4) parking is free but the entrance is paid. We visited the only site in the jungle with the birds and monkeys (wild and not aggressive). The tour lasts an hour and alas it n there's not much explanation but can be mounted on the temples, the view is nice and it is nice to be alone! Takes l mosquito repellent because these are very many... and even with the repellent we were somewhat bitten (including through the shirt) but visit n not not was spoiled... a great time!

  • A place full of rich history that is worth hiring a guided tour. Big enough so it is ideal to bring comfortable clothing and much repellent for mosquitoes.

  • Just for my then visit many archaeological sites across the entire country are the best. It's like entering an Indiana Jones movie. Arriving is not easy so if you don't have private transport just or you try since must travel about 40 km from the intersection with shunt Bacalar and chetumal. then walk about 15 minutes along a rural road. A taxi would be very expensive and saw no viable options so that you can reach by public transport road rural road. The entrance is only 52 pesos which includes two archaeological zones that are together... In addition to visiting the archeological sites can come into contact with nature seeing several species of monkeys in free State completely, jumping from branch to branch above your head, this is something that does not really in any other archaeological site. This sumale that last time we visited the place we had just gone 6 people throughout the day which makes the place a peaceful site, by such reason wait no selling of anything, not sold water carries yours, take repellent Blocker and some snack since there is nothing in the place. There is only a clean rustic bathrooms. Not this other that you ask for a guided tour by own caregivers who are very friendly and make you feel more secure during your stay. Don't be stingy this is not a service included in the 52 pesos, program of 100 to 150 pesos per person for the tour. Please just don't miss this site.
