  • We went with hgmexico to climb of Iztaccihuatl about 5200metres. Very good agency, they picked us up at the airport and we have provided all the facilities (including coat, gloves, pants, lamp...). We took three days to do this, including two to acclimate. After a bit of road we spend the first night in a building to dry to acclimatise to the altitude. Wake up, walk 2 h for to walk around and found the guides above, to base camp (3800metres), where the road stops. Ascension day: Awakening 1 o'clock in the morning for departure. Several hours of walking in the step in slope +/-soft, mountain view is beautiful in the moonlight. The path is narrow and across the slope composed of gravel. We arrive at the hut, where guides tell us that the altitude is too high to sleep properly. We Attica the hardest part 1:30 about rise or climbing in a stone field. The "path" is quite dangerous, and so much of not no derraper... We come to the first Summit at sunrise, the view is just breathtaking. Continue on stop him, it is no longer very steep but all similarly tiring due to the lack of altitude. It then crosses the glacier and begin the last part of the climb (1 hour walk). It is after the glacier we Roupie having head aches, feel like throwing up. The top is wide enough (heavier with the rest of the very narrow and steep path). After a short break we started back, much faster. We don't iron by the stone field but take another road (possible only downhill) allows us to slide quickly in the gravel. Back to camp around 2 pm. We were not specially trained and we did (at 21); He must not be afraid of the vacuum and very steep and steep paths... Required several days of acclimatizations. The top was worth it!

  • One of the most beautiful landscapes of Mexico, between the months of December, January and February is likely to see snow in the vicinity of the Iztaccihuatl volcano.
