Playa Delfines, Cancun

(4,000+ reviews on the web)
Beach Nature / Park
Escape the tourist crowds by visiting Playa Delfines, one of Cancun's few uncrowded beaches. With slightly rougher sand and choppier water than some of the other spots nearby, this stretch of coastline compensates for a lack of modern amenities with fine views and a peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for those tired of throngs of vacationers, this little getaway also offers public parking--another rare plus. All that said, you do need to be mindful of riptides and heavy currents if you decide to swim here, so check the signs for the current conditions. • Execellent location to come and enjoy some time by the most blue and beautiful water in Cancun. It also has a perfect spot for the famous Cancun sign overlooking the ocean. There is public showers and restrooms and plenty of space to lay down on the beach, parking may be hard to find depending on the time of day.
  • Enjoy the beautiful blue ocean laying down the white sand, my advise take your camera with you an capture amazing waves and nature, also food, some snacks, and liters of water, the weather in Cancun is hot.i think all year.
  • Gorgeous beach. It's very easy to get here on the bus from the city or hotels (10.5 pesos per person). On the beach, there are a lot of people selling food and drinks, or you can bring your own cooler. There are public umbrellas and chairs as well, which are free to use just like the other public beaches in Cancun. The restrooms and showers are fine if you'll be spending all day on the beach.
  • Gorgeous beach, as is the whole area. Nice little place to space out and watch the ocean. We found a guy who rented us plastic chairs very cheap. Sadly, I have no photos to post as on the bus ride back to the hotel, I was pickpocketed and along with my phone, all of my photos! Be careful, criminals work the buses looking for tourists to steal from. I was especially vulnerable as I had a kid with me.
  • Very nice beach, free parking not crowded, you can rent an umbrella and chairs, there is a guy there that will buy food from Fish Fritanga and bring it to you, just for a tip. Very relaxing and beautiful! Behind Plaza Kukulkan, shopping mall. Worth visiting.
