  • Hi, I'm George,I recently spent 18 days in Mexico & I feel like sharing some experiences I've had there. I've visited El Rey,San Miguelito,El Meco,Isla Mujeres,Playa del Carmen,Tulum,Coba,Chichen Itza...  more »
  • Mayan culture a mile from the hotel zone! Ideal first see the Museum and then relax in a small walk through the archaeological site... Facilities with lockers, toilets and ramps etc. The Museum has a collection of objects, friezes and panels geroglificos contained in a modern and bright, well explained Museum with totems, showcases, and air conditioning. In less than an hour to complete the journey through all the rooms... The archaeological site you goes into a wonderful redoubt of vegetation and indigenous forests where you see iguanas and birds, mangroves and lianas in a tour well signposted along manicured trails and where obviously enjoying the platforms and Mayan ruins very well restored and preserved. Thanks to the guardians of culture and maya archaeology by offering this pleasant experience!

  • The archaeological zone is great! The artifacts inside are beautiful as well with information screens to speak your language. There is only one room of artifacts and a beautiful shaded pathway outside to show the ruins, so it takes only a couple hours to see everything. It's in front of the Hotel Emporio Resort. Very easy to get to!
  • Really nice and pretty, lots of iguanas to see and take pictures of. The staff are quite friendly and the museum set out well! It's not very big at all and the English explanations could be written more clearer and have some English translations for exhibits as well as the introductions to sections.
  • This is definitely worth a visit in Cancun. It is also in the hotel done so very safe and convenient for tourists. The museum has a lot of incredible artifacts you are unlikely to see anywhere else. The grounds surrounding the museum is also beautiful. There is a pyramid on site so if you are there take in the view and the grounds.
  • Awesome experience! You go at your own pace. $10 USD for two adults, so very affordable. I loved all of the Mayan artifacts and the walking section with ruins.
  • It’s remarkable Museum about Mayan people. Their vassal past in on the beautiful items that archaeologists excavated. Their lifestyle, cuisine understanding of universe, wars, economy and many more can be observed here. Should be first thing to do if you’re in Cancun or Yucatan Peninsula. I visited in an hour but there is an archeological site also called as St. Miguel’s. Definitely worth to look around. Don’t miss.
