  • My wife and I enjoyed our visit to the Cancun interactive Aquarium. There is a lot to see and do and the price for entrance is reasonable. There are indoor aquariums with lots of sea life. Outdoors there are touch tanks with rays and other animals. Outside is the dolphin area. There is an overhead walkway where you can see the interaction activities, and also occasionally there is a sea lion presentation on the walkway. The aquarium does offer additional activities, at additional cost. Several levels of dolphin experiences are available, and lots of people choose to purchase these. My wife and I did the Aquarium Trek, where we put on underwater supplied-air helmets and walked the bottom aquarium main tank with divers lots of sea life. Pictures are available for all the interactions. The pictures are good quality. The full picture packages were out of our price range, but lesser options are available. We do like our pictures.
  • It was an amazing experience swimming with dolphins, most of the staff spoke English for those who attended that didn't speak Spanish, and they were fairly punctual with our assigned time (just try to show up 15-30mins early if you can. I got to touch one of the larger stingrays before proceeding to the bridge to be sat down for instructions. They won't let you wear or record anything if you're participating in the water but it can all be purchased after. We had a great buy one get one free deal from the concierge at our hotel, but unfortunately we were misinformed as to the prices on the packages for the video and pictures. Now while that is NOT their fault, the prices we were offered (and had to decline) we extremely expensive in my opinion for what they were offering some pictures packages nearly $250 USD for the upper packages. That was the only true downside though. FYI we went beginning of October and the ocean water was still fairly warm. However the aquarium water was nearly freezing so keep that in mind if you go, the water is freaking cold, I know some people can't handle cold water but it really wasn't too bad once you started moving around. The dolphins themselves were amazing. So smooth, so beautiful, and so smart. We had Marina they mentioned was the youngest. She was very energetic and almost comical in her behavior. I would definitely recommend going to visit and spend time with the dolphins!
  • Small but very well maintained aquarium. Has a petting area for stingrays and an area where you can touch starfish. Offers a swim with dolphins experience as well, which we really enjoyed! I know there's some controversy with swim with dolphins experiences, but the dolphins there seemed happy and well taken care of.
  • CAUTION FOR USING STROLLERS - Went to the La Isla shopping mall in Cancun and stumbled upon this place. 15 USD per adult and kids enter free. Aquarium itself is small, but looking at the fish is refreshing to the eyes. They also have open sting ray exhibit for you to touch and feel including starfish. As you proceed, you walk over a bridge that runs over a large pool of dolphins. This experience is great and I should say to monitor kids all the times as the fence on the bridge is just 4 tiny wires with gaps a kid can easily let his/her feet off outside and potentially fall into the dolphin pool below. The bridge leads you to a restaurant on the left or a open theater for dolphin show on the right. Photo opportunity provided at entrance which you can collect at exit. Strollers are okay to enter and they have a ramp to get to the dolphin pool bridge, but, there is no sign of elevator or ramp for exit. We had to carry our stroller down a spiral stairs on exit leading to the merchandise store. You can purchase additional experience for the dolphin show, getting underwater with professionals, etc. Overall a great experience for family and kids, but they definitely need to provide a way out for strollers. We checked and there is no elevator after picking the photos, we could see only restrooms and the stairs leading down to exit
  • So we booked and paid in full through our resort travel agent for our visit here but had to pay more once there. It has been the dream for my wife to swim with the dolphins so I thought what the heck, I will book and pay for it through our travel agent here at our resort. We paid for the premium which included aquarium sea trek, swim with the dolphins and dolphin ride, The whole 9 yards. It was extremely sad to hear once at the aquarium I had to pay additional money. We explained to the counter agent at the aquarium that we had already paid for everything they had to offer just for her to say “no you didn’t”. To top it all off, the 65 pictures that were taken during our dolphin swim and trec, they wanted to charge us $250 for them and they were going to be put on a USB thumb drive. Now I don’t mind paying for some pictures but $250? Come on now. That’s what I call severely taking advantage of Americans and all other customers that visit. $250 to get the experience and another $250 for pictures! Great experience but will never do it again. Unfortunately we walked away with no pictures! Our travel agent was shocked that the aquarium ripped us off for more money and is working to get the extra money paid for no reason, back to us. Will update once we hear back from our travel agent. My review should be a 5 star but due to being taken advantage of by aquarium ticket counter agent Andrea, I can only leave a 1 star.
