Create an itinerary including Playa del Amor
Visit the visually arresting Playa del Amor, and gaze upon its otherworldly rock formations, rising formidably from their golden sands. You’ll have to take a boat ride to get to the beach, which is made more remote by the massive geological growths surrounding it. Explore the caves of the rock faces and admire their bizarre, almost melting appearance. Be sure to bring everything you’ll require, like snacks and water, as the beach offers no amenities save for a sole vendor selling beer and chips. For Playa del Amor and beyond, use our Cabo San Lucas road trip planning website to get the most from your Cabo San Lucas vacation.

  • Beautiful beach. Lovely setting. Clean. Really is a nice place. Not sure about relaxing as it can get busy with the boats.

  • Beautiful beach but beware. If you have any physical ailments, I would recommend not going. Getting in the boat is very hazardous.

  • Loved this beach and such fun to ride over in the small taxi boat:) We liked the lovers beach side that is calm and the rougher divorce beach on the other side.

  • Rock climbed from Divorce Beach to Lover's Beach and found our own private Anniversary Beach ⛱️
  • One of my favorite beaches. Totally worth the water taxi drive down. Got there as part of our tour with Novo Tours. It’s honestly breathtakingly beautiful and the highlight of my trip. The water was also so nice to swim in!
  • It is a very beautiful beach. The rock formations are stunning and it is not too populated. It is very hard to get to on foot. I advise taking a water taxi. My wife and I climbed over from a different beach resort and it was a pretty sketch climb, but we made it out safely.
  • “Such an amazing experience! There are very high waves which makes it dangerous to swim. There is also no shade so load up on the sunscreen. There is a rope to where you could swim. On the other side is divorce beach which is deadly to swim in but a really amazing view and also so relaxing with the ginormous waves crashing! Be safe when visiting this beach!” - Chloe
  • What great experience and beach tucked away in the most unexpected places. We first took a water taxi and loved it so much that we tried our hands at hiking over from our hotel, Solmar Resort. Doable and so worth it!!!
