  • Very great hike! Friendly locals at the gate to get in. Was hesitant as first because there were some stray dogs behind the gate, but then I realized the guy was a dog trainer and the dogs were extremely well trained. He told us where to go and what route was best. Super friendly. I would give the experience 10 stars if I could.
  • Great place to hike with stunning views!!! Be mindful of the fact that this is private property, however, with that being said, the owner will let anyone go for a hike! The owner is extreemly friendly and goes for a hike with his dogs every morning, before the heat of the day!! The place is easy to find, directly across from the Navy base! We walked all the way from our resort and started our hike around 1 in the afternoon! It was hot but not overwhelming!! There were multiple other people hiking at the same time on many different paths that take you to each of the peaks! Be patient if the gate is closed and locked, he runs a dog kennel and training facility, and it is again, private property. When he is home he will let you in! If you have to wait a little bit there is a beautiful beach which is perfect for kids just down the road and the marina is there too!!! Happy Hiking!!!
  • We heard about this activity through TripAdvisor and were really into it. We followed all the instructions from other travelers and easily got to the gate where you start the hike. But it was closed! We called Enrique and he was in San Jose, so we couldn't get in or go up the Solmar rock. Very unfortunate. I recommend calling in advance to let him know that you're coming!
  • Hike is a bit of a scramble at times, but worth it. Park wherever you can close to the marina and walk over to the yellow building which is the dog kennel. The owner will likely be out there and will give you details of the hike. It starts right behind his place. Leave a tip for him because he's letting you access the hike from his property. On the hike, orange flags are the way up and yellow is the way down. Once at the top, climb down off the other side (not the cliffs - the south side like where lands end is) and you can access divorce and Lovers beach from here without taking a water taxi. You can take the taxi back to save the hike back. The views are amazing from the top.
  • Great short and mildly challenging hike with some scrambling at the top. About 30 minutes to the top average pace, follow the orange and yellow ribbons along the trail. Highly recommended with amazing views! Not for the faint of heart up top with the steep drops πŸ˜ƒ Enrique and his dogs are very accommodating definitely leave a tip πŸ‘

Where to stay in Cabo San Lucas

Accommodations in Cabo San fall into two categories--those with easy beach access and those with a view. If you're mostly interested in swimming or diving, head to the neighborhood of El Medano Ejidal, where you can choose from a smorgasbord of luxury beach resorts and mid-range hotels. To take advantage of the area's dramatic scenery, look south to the cliff-top neighborhood of Pedregal, home to countless private rentals. For something more budget-friendly, check the streets in the city center, where the lack of sea views will be compensated with easy access to the city's best nightlife.
