Create an itinerary including El Arco de Cabo San Lucas
Watch as the waves crash against El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, an arched rock formation at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. Created by erosion over millennia, the distinctive rock formation serves as a meeting point for local sea lion colonies; keep your eyes peeled for the large creatures as you admire the rocks. Don't be tempted to go in the water--strong currents and rocky surroundings make the area unsuitable for swimming. You can access the beach near the rock formation by water taxi from the nearby city. • Amazing experience, beautiful views, this is a must. We chose the clear boat tour for an up close experience with the arch.

  • It’s a cartel land. Mexico is dead for me forever… never again I will consider going to this wasteland.

  • The day that we visited, the waves were really strong, therefore we couldn’t visit lovers beach. We were only able to ride up to take pictures. We were able however to swim up to a side beach and did some snorkeling. If you want to take a boat up to these sights, you can find one on the harbor/dock. Don’t go with the first person who offers you their services. I recommend walking around a bit and asking around for prices. We went with Captain Saul, he was very nice. He stayed with us while we snorkeled and sunbathed on the beach. He also provided food for the fishes. There is a rock that has some coral on it that the fishes we’re eating off of so we mostly stayed above that to see the fishes swim around us. My Uber driver told me that every boat will charge you a $2 “tax” to take you to see the arc but I thinks that’s a total lie and they pocket that money for themselves. Anyhow, it was a beautiful experience and I highly recommend it, just don’t get caught up in all the touristy things! ☀️
  • It was an amazing sight to behold. Wish I had spent more time exploring in and around, but like so many things in life, I took it for granted because it had been there for so long, never thought it would disappear in my lifetime. If you have an opportunity to explore a natural wonder, explore it! Learn all you can. Take pictures. Describe your experiences to others as if it will never again be seen from your perspective, because, truly, it may not.
  • At first I wasn't too convinced that I would care about seeing the arch, but when you get on a boat and you're able to get up close it is honestly pretty amazing. The arch looks very tiny from afar, but it's a little bit bigger when you're close up. All the surrounding rock formations have stunning shapes and color, and all around it's just a nice time on a boat.
  • Gorgeous beach and rock formations. The small boat tour is definitely worth the money. Stay for the afternoon. Be sure to grab some cold ones for the stay. They will stop at the store on the dock during the departure or there is a store beside the boat launch to get snacks and refreshments.
  • Take a Sunset Dinner cruise! Beautiful weather, we saw 6 Whales! Surprisingly, No Dolphins, but that is a rarity! We saw Hundreds in September! The whales we're Super close to our large boat! Breathtaking Sunsets!
