The stone fortress dates from 1733, when it was constructed to protect the city from pirates and English colonizers. View the restored stone walls and old cannons of the fort, built in the shape of a four-pointed star. Visit the small museum inside, with informative plaques in English and Spanish, and learn about the history of the structure. From the fortress site, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the vibrant Bacalar lake. Charge 35.00 of entry indeed it woman that cobra them tickets was the only person in all Bacalar with face of few friends and nothing friendly leaves a bad taste of mouth.
