Half Moon Bay, Akumal

Categories: Bodies of Water, Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web
For peace and serenity away from the tourist crowds head to Half Moon Bay. You can swim in the calm waters, but be careful not to step on any creatures--swim shoes may be a good idea. Snorkel in the clear waters and admire the marine wildlife around you. Access to the beach is easier for those staying in accommodations along Half Moon Bay, but it is accessible to all. Take care in the water on windy days, as it is not as protected by outlying reefs as other bays nearby.
