  • My first time in a Mexican cemetery. A world away from the northern Northern American countries. The culture is obvious in the display of every grave. The Day of the Dead" festivities will be amazing ...  more »
  • During the year, is a cemetery Mexican typical ordinary. And now comes the day of the dead in November, is a place that you can't miss. Several days before, locals mounted altars in their homes, to families that already are not with them, do so with street view, so that all people can admire them, sometimes even on the sidewalk. Is well worth doing a tour of the village, where people are showing their altars outside or inside your House. In the cemetery, from one day before the families begin to arrange the graves of their loved ones with pictures, food, Tequila, beer, flowers, candles, flags, an endless number of things, to toys. Many of them are converted into works of art of the Mexican folklore. Just outside the Pantheon, on the street prepared plays, likewise mounted food stalls. For the day of the dead, families go and spend your day in the tomb of their loved ones, some leading to Mariachi. It is a must if these by Ajijic 1st or November 2, where you can admire and enjoy the Mexican tTadiciones.

  • It's a fiesta in the cementery, people getting together with those that are gone. Having a fiesta, eating and singing, really good experience been around.
