Beautiful views and amazing historical art and artifacts. Well worth a visit for the views and for anyone interested in history.
Fuerte de San Diego is the first European fort on the Pacific, begun in 1614 to protect the Manila Galleons from pirates. It was severely damaged by a massive earthquake in 1776, but rebuilt and has now been turned into an excellent air conditioned museum dedicated to Spain's trade with the Orient, which was carried aboard the Galleons every year from 1565 to 1815.
