Barra Vieja Beach, Acapulco

4.0
#1 of 13 in Beaches in Acapulco
Sunbathe and indulge in fresh seafood along Barra Vieja Beach. The beach is a long stretch of uncrowded warm sand, with beachside restaurants along the shore. Swim in the bright blue, clear waters or go horseback riding, a popular activity along this beach. Admire the Tres Palos Lagoon and the Acapulco sea. Don’t leave without trying the local specialty, Pescado a la Talla, a whole fish marinated in spices and grilled over hot coals. • Very nice beach, clean, not suitable so children get to the sea, even adults should have caution, but nothing Needless to children while they bring beach toys, and if they go to Izmir sea restaurant, there are houses of games for children. This month we stumbled upon release of turtles and one that other crab. We invite you to have respect for the animals and do not disturb them, kill them or catch them. If they are uploaded to the ATVs respect speed limits since we have children! And not pass through the loose sand since there are crabs and crushed them! Not visit restaurant CHAMAMAS, there evil weigh fish and you steal, also that although it says that not overcharge you parking, imposed way already make you charge fee of $100 pesos, and although it is not much, the truth is in very bad taste that they impose it you still that you stolen. Go to the IZMIR from the sea, they are honest and weigh you the fish in front of you, their seasoning is delicious, the super friendly not impose you fee for service. Going according to your criteria, but when you serve well, there to correspond with a good tip.

  • The beach is more aggressive here, but it is very beautiful. There is a place called the Galindo to eat fish size, the most delicious that I have eaten in my life.

  • Beautiful beach. We went yesterday and we arrived at 5 pm just wanted be in the sunset and a refreshment. We ask two coconuts and sat down. In the entry said that consume you not paid cover, as in any place. Calling for the Bill we were charged two coconuts 78 pesos and 100 pesos additional chairs. Never seen something like this, where seen something so you have to pay for the Chair if they consume. For this reason I do not recommend them and eye are scaring away tourists with such malice attitudes

Where to stay in Acapulco

Acapulco offers accommodations catering to travelers at extreme ends of the financial scale. Pricey but luxurious beach resorts fringe the city's wineglass-curved bay and fan out to the surrounding coastline, while a dense block of high-rise holiday apartments and hotels dominates Acapulco Dorado. Among the ritzy options, you can find a wide range of inexpensive beach bungalows and hostels catering to younger, party-focused visitors. Stay a bit farther away from the center at the rocky outcrop of Las Playas to enjoy views over Acapulco's famous cliffs.
