Where to stay in Souillac

Though Souillac has few viable options for places to stay within the village itself, there are plenty of lodgings available a short drive away. In the village, there are a few single and double rooms within guesthouses or bed and breakfasts. Around 5 km (3.1 mi) from the village, there is a good choice of chain hotels, as well as all-inclusive holiday resorts, with amenities such as swimming pools, food, and beverages on demand.

  • Beautiful waterfall in south of Mauritius. A bit difficult to access, but with GPS was no problem. It is free and we could swim under waterfalls.  more »
  • Didn't really choose a good day as the weather was awful but all the bushes and trees could do with a trim as this massively spoils the view. Nice drive to get there and we saw monkeys unexpectedly bu...  more »
  • A complete waste of time & not worth the treacherous drive getting there! Very poor signage, Google maps was highly confused and tried taking us down many dead end roads. Serious anticlimax, the water...  more »

  • GREAT for JUMPING off rocks and trees.
  • Must visit if you love a little adventure to get to this place. Worth it
  • An extraordinary view and a cold and fresh water to swim but if you are going there expect no life guard and if you go up the fall there is a risk of dying so just stay down the fall and don't swim if you're not a professional swimmer
  • Worth the detour ! However the path to the falls has never been fixed by the gvt. Though it's a public place, you have to go through a sugarcane field to get there - very muddy and rocky. The signs can barely be seen (signs that have been there for as long as I can remember when I was a kid!)
  • Amazing view....calm & quiet
