China Town, Port Louis
(1/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Visit China Town to find a thriving collection of shops and restaurants with the flavor of the Far East. Homes, stores, and community buildings were established here by the Hakka Chinese in 1826. Today, the area's pagodas, restaurants, and small shops maintain the feeling of that time period, indicating a strong cultural lineage despite diversification in recent years to include influences from across East Asia. Come here to see the markets in full swing and indulge in some street food. Use our Port Louis trip generator to arrange your visit to China Town and other attractions in Port Louis.

  • Very neglected in Port Luis. A lot of garbage on the streets, the buildings very shabby and neglected. Not like other China Town. The only thing you can really see is the gateway to China Town. According to the inhabitants of the modern Port Luis, one of the more dangerous neighborhoods of this city.
