  • Who's like to plunge into the fray is right here. There are great old market stalls in authentic buildings, in which fresh meat to local produce, everything is sold. Of course, any souvenirs for tourists, but offered with partly high prices lack.

  • at the 30.11.2016, we have visited the central market Port Louis. With the car against exercise of the post office parked, where the blue and Red Mauritius is issued. The stamp with the misprint that made them so valuable. Already the smell is overwhelming. Fish wet linen, welding fumes, simply everything. A market full of colors, noise, and impressions that you'll never forget. Here you can discounted prices "Original" to purchase. Buy gifts for friends and acquaintances. But care must be taken when negotiating. Seat a total before acting in the head and start with the half. Never say they are either way over the ear stitched up the markets on Mauritius. If you want to buy good stuff go to Gran Bay or in the many malls in the country.

  • Packed with fruit and vegetable sellers, very colourful. You need to be firm with hangers on who want to "help you" to show you around. There are some interesting stalls of local handicrafts. It can get hot and packed with people. Keep an eye on your valuables.
  • Do visit to get the local flavor and food. Don't buy souvenir from here you'll get them cheaper at the Super U store or any other mall.
  • We just loved the choices offered around the market, not too pushy sellers, good and cheap local food and drinks. Hard to find parking space. Extremely humid weather.. Loved the buzzing market and the whole city.
  • Crowded market selling various handicrafts and groceries which you can also find in the supermarket. Prices of handicrafts are negotiable and bargaining is a must if you want to get the best value for money.
  • The best alouda of Mauritius is here. Good food court in General.
