Pointe aux Piments Public Beach, Pointe Aux Piments

(3.5/5 based on 140 reviews on the web)
With still, blue water and warm, white sand, Pointe aux Piments Public Beach makes for a great spot to relax and soak up some sun. Starting at a popular resort, it runs roughly 3 km (1.8 mi) through the Pointe aux Piments village to Trou aux Biches. The quality of the sand and seafloor varies along the coast, and is generally at its best near the resort end. You won't see big tourist crowds here, as most stick to the beaches associated with their resorts. Snack stands sell local Mauritian cuisine in the adjacent parking lot. • Very nice clean beach, though I found it a little rocky which cut into your feet as you just step in the water. Lovely view of the sunset, mesmerizing colours.  more »

  • Authentic Beach, with some sand, some filaos to shadow and shacks for fried mines. Small fishing boats to anchor; beautiful photos in perspective to the sunset... Attention to coral (safety shoes are required), but the advantage is that do not go very far to find all of the island's exotic fish! Don't forget mask and tuba; otherwise there are the Villas my pleasure glass bottom boat to stay dry! The white sand in the water to go to the Meridien hotel...
