  • An exceptional garden to be missed in any case. The entrance is paid but also includes the price of parking (reasonable amount). Careful not to be fooled by the touts who try to stop the cars before the site.

  • If you are lovers of nature and visiting Mauritius, you should not miss a visit of the botanical gardens. It is located halfway between Grand Baie and the capital city of Port Louis. You can get comfortably air-conditioned buses lines novymi 215, at a price of 38 Rs (€ 0.95 = approx. 50 Eur) per person for 20 minutes of the two appointed destination, or take a taxi, the price depends on your bargaining skills, or rented directly by highway. A large parking lot is at the site of the garden. Entrance fee is Rs 200 (5 €) and you can get the entire map at the entrance of the garden, which is quite extensive. In addition to larger intersections inside are these maps in a big way. At the entrance you will be presented with a wizard, mainly in French but also in English and German. Price guide estimated at Rs 100 per person, from what I've seen of how applies. The garden is really very interesting, there are representatives of all continents, in many different species. Very interesting is also the Avenue in the northern part of the garden, where trees are planted friendship prominent persons who visited the island. I found the trees nestled Among Indirou Ghandiovou, Nelson and other officials. On a tour of the garden set aside at least 2-3 hours time, but even more. Even if you're not a botanist, the vastness and beauty with a quiet stroll, you surely will get. After inspection I advise not to go the va parking lot entrance, but the main entrance to the street, and the Street towards the station, you will find several restaurants that offer very good although a bit more expensive food.
