Adventure into the history of Mauritius at Chateau De Labourdonnais, a restored mansion displaying an attractive neoclassical Italian style of architecture. • small but interesting local sugar estate, with attached restaurant. the prix fixe is a good introduction to island mixed-culture cooking with indian and french colonial influences. a pleasant visit, won't take all day but well worth it for lunch.
  • Totally worth a visit! Nice colonial house, very well preserved (ok, some parts have been rebuilt). The entrance fee includes a rum tasting (two glasses). I also advice the shop nearby: nice local products made in the mansion (honey, jams, fruits, …)
  • Great place to visit. Well maintained infrastructure.
  • What an interesting place to visit, and on a day out exploring this part of the the island it's worth an hour to pass by.
