Tamil Surya Oudaya Sangam Temple, Grand Baie

Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Richly decorated with many colorful representations of Hindu deities, Tamil Surya Oudaya Sangam Temple sits along a coastal road. Most of the statues and carvings depict the principal Hindu gods Shiva, Durga, and Ganesh in puzzling poses. Extremely ornate from the outside, the temple is less impressive from the inside. Occasionally, you can see the priests chanting and bestowing blessings on the visitors. Feed the monkeys that gather around the temple.
