Tamarin Falls, Curepipe

4.7
#1 of 7 in Things to do in Curepipe
A series of seven waterfalls, each pouring into the next fall below, Tamarin Falls reward a challenging trek with abundant natural beauty. It's best to hire a guide to lead you to the falls; the hike can be quite difficult, with near vertical climbs, and a guide will know the best and safest way to get you there. Likewise, he or she can tell you about what you're seeing and the landscape you're exploring. The trek to the falls leads through forest and lush vegetation, around ponds, and across wide-open expanses. The diversity of this area and the exotic plant and animal life make the trip particularly special. Adventurers can walk right alongside the falls, and even jump from the top of a small fall into the pool below. Make sure to wear proper shoes for hiking. Hiking very well to do preferably with a guide. Count 3 to 4 stunts for a half-day tour. It includes a time for a swim and lunch. Caution If you decide to go down at the bottom of the 4th waterfall, the back is sports because we directly up the slope in the middle of the trees (but there is always one that can cling to help us). We have made our visit with the very good guide Raj, who was able to answer has all our questions and advise us during our market! You can see his page on the site.

A nice walk along the different waterfalls. A landscape breathtaking. The visit of the 7 waterfalls took us about 3 h 30. And for the courage, jumps in the water of 5 to 7 meters are possible. On the other hand, the help of a guide is better. We recommend Prakash Isram (+ 230 57608367 mobil) he has a very good knowledge of the places (fauna, flora and geology) and is very friendly. At the end of the ride, he can take you out a restaurant local offering of small local dishes for a small budget.

Phenomenal. If you go tracking please be equipped. DON'T GO WITH FLIP-FLOP. Said so you can go by yourself, don't hire a local guide. Park the car on the wall of the natural park. Follow the sugar field and after 500 meters take the path on your left, you'll go down to the first fall (15 minutes) and if you want you can proceed following the green dots. All the trekking path is around 2 hours walking, you'll even pass behind a fall!! If it's raining, it's very very slippery so pay attention. The effort will pay you back with amazing views!
