A series of seven waterfalls, each pouring into the next fall below, Tamarin Falls reward a challenging trek with abundant natural beauty. It's best to hire a guide to lead you to the falls; the hike can be quite difficult, with near vertical climbs, and a guide will know the best and safest way to get you there. Likewise, he or she can tell you about what you're seeing and the landscape you're exploring. The trek to the falls leads through forest and lush vegetation, around ponds, and across wide-open expanses. The diversity of this area and the exotic plant and animal life make the trip particularly special. Adventurers can walk right alongside the falls, and even jump from the top of a small fall into the pool below. Make sure to wear proper shoes for hiking. • My wife and I hiked all day with Prakash in the may 2018 to Tamarin falls (seven falls). This is a real hike where you need good shoes (no flip flops). Water and picnic were included in the package. An average physical condition is required for a full-day hike, however, he offers a half-day tour. Hiking with Prakash was excellent, because he is professional, informative and helpful. You must feel not insecure. We could see all waterfalls, if we go up from the bottom in the vicinity of the hydroelectric power station. Parking was provided by Prakash with him in the vicinity of the lookout point Green Discovery Signage. The waterfalls were incredible and the hike lasted 5 hours with a swimming and lunch. We recommend you make the hike with a professional guide, because some of the paths are difficult to find, and the route is pretty demanding. We contacted Prakash directly via whatsaap News (+230 57608367) and planned the trip. Because we so enjoyed the hike, we have decided to make a further trip with Prakash in the Black River Gorges National Park, Le Morne and also a round trip on the South coast.

  • Really amazing seven waterfalls! Needs little bit effort To get there because you need To walk And do some hiking In the jungle To get To These ;) visited platforms 1,3 And 5 And all were quit amazing! Bring your bikinis because you can also swim here. With guide easier To see everything but you can also do it by yourself by following the little road And everytime theres a path leaving from the road, it will lead you To one of the waterfalls. Not the easiest hike because lots of paths going down can be really slippery And need some acrobat work. Must see place!
  • Absolutely most beautiful cascade waterfall in Mauritius. You can hike through the cascades, but terrain is very dirty and slippery, so you need good shoes. The most difficult part is under biggest fall (the tallest one). There is also very restful swimming in river in hot days. There are local guys nearly, that offers "guide" service for Rs400/person, but when do you have good footwear then it is not necessary. Parking place is near mandir, where riviere Tamarin crosses the road. Note for government: the problem with bad terrain without inhibition and marks is also here. Some should really take care about such nice turrist places like this.
  • Phenomenal. If you go tracking please be equipped. DON'T GO WITH FLIP-FLOP. Said so you can go by yourself, don't hire a local guide. Park the car on the wall of the natural park. Follow the sugar field and after 500 meters take the path on your left, you'll go down to the first fall (15 minutes) and if you want you can proceed following the green dots. All the trekking path is around 2 hours walking, you'll even pass behind a fall!! If it's raining, it's very very slippery so pay attention. The effort will pay you back with amazing views!
