Admire an impressive natural water feature at Chamarel Waterfall. Plunging 83 m (272 ft) in a single drop, the waterfall spills over a sheer cliff face surrounded by thick vegetation, creating an iconic sight. View the fall from the observation deck located at its top, and descend to the pool at its base to enjoy some swimming in the shallow waters. Prebook to experience rappelling down the waterfall's length, taking in the scenery and the power of the ancient gush of water from a dramatic perspective. • Visited here as part of our South Island Tour, the weather was not great on the day we visited but we really enjoyed the countryside leading to the waterfalls and the views from the falls are lovely.
  • Well worth the walk up the steps to the view point to see the entire length of the falls. Lovely views.
  • Its a quick stop while going to seven colored earth, next to car parking itself you can get good view of the fall. There is small way which goes up and gives a better view, totally worth the walk.
  • Stunning Experience I would highly recommend to visit this amazing place when in Mauritius although the weather wasnt great the scenery made up for it.
  • Breathtaking view of an amazing waterfall. Been to Milford Sound in New Zealand and found this more impressive
  • Roads have been paved making it much more enjoyable. They are still narrow so beware of speeding tour operators
  • Good place and has a really old history of how a volcanic lava turned into a waterfall
