Take a catamaran or speedboat out from the mainland to enjoy a bit of relaxation and exploration at Ile Plate Beach. Go snorkeling or diving to see the many schools of colorful fish, or simply recline on the soft white sand and cool off under the shade of the trees that line the shore. When you start feeling peckish, make sure to check out the little stalls selling freshly cooked, locally caught seafood. Une des meilleures journées passées à l'ile Maurice. Avec tout les commentaires sur Martial et sa "mouette" nous avons décidé de partir avec lui et avons bien fait ! Start behind the Church at 09:00 with Martial and his friend, small boat but it's better like that... 1 h 20 from crossing with passage along the cliff of the focal point, view the "Lady" and his "hole" (Martial will explain) then saw flat island in the distance... No dolphins for us, it is possible to cross on the way however. Arrival on the island... I didn't know what to say... The paradise... White sand, turquoise water, and especially... Person or almost! On the island in front we see several umbrellas and benches which distorts the corner but not on flat island... Martial then invites us to his little corner... Opening of the bar, punch, cold drinks at will with some explanations about the island and its history linked to slavery and quarantine. Then swim in a natural, turquoise pool... Plan beach shoes because many corals. Then start has come dozens of catamarans and they're all on the other island in front of us. Martial will explain that "his corner" is reserved for us. We felt privileged, wonderful to swim in the middle of hundreds of fish! 12: 00 lunch under a canvas with fish, chicken and rice prepared by the wife of Martial, red wine and finally small rum "home"! All in being flown over by dozens of straw into a ponytail. Then swimming, snorkeling has any longer. We even had the chance to see several sea turtles... During this time most of the "express" catamarans are already on the way back... On shots from 16: 00 we unfortunately leave the island... To finish at Martial for a last drink... Without hesitation I recommend to go through him, for authenticity, kindness, impeccable service. It of been 30 years and has some tour operators with catamaran or speedboat "St Tropez" versus "Seagull"... Prefer the "local". I highly recommend!

Cette journée fut un m... more »We had planned to go on the flat island with Martial but his boat was not available, and it advised us the catamaran "sunkiss 2", we did not regret! This day was a moment of pure happiness! We were on a catamaran with 7 other people, we saw a whale to go and when we arrived on the flat island, what a wonder! The landscape is beautiful, white sand and translucent water... we did snorkeling, it was like in an aquarium with hundreds of fish of all colors everywhere. Then the crew of the boat had prepared us a barbecue on the beach, so we ate on the flat island, unlike many other catamarans which offer to eat on the boat. Around 14 h 30, departure from the flat island for 1 h 30 from crossing. The crew of the boat was great and very helpful. We paid 2000 rupees per person which is very reasonable for the delivery. Attention to the tour operators who offer cheaper trips but with many more people on the boat and less time spent on the island. We haven't been to Deer Island after discussion with Mauritian who told us it was a lot more touristy and less authentic than the flat island.
Nous y sommes allé en catamaran en chemin nous avons croisé les baleines les dauphins tortue de mer ..... à l'arrivée plongée dans les eaux cristallines au milieu des poissons more »We went there on a catamaran on the way we passed whales dolphins turtle sea... when the diving in crystal clear waters among the fish
