The quaint stone house, where Josephine spent the first 15 years of her life, has now been turned into a museum. Head inside to see the former family kitchen, which has now been converted into a dislpay about the empresses’ childhood. Find her wooden bed and other memorabilia, such as a rocking chair, glass vases, and pictures of the empress. • We went to participate in a discovery rally focused on culture history and botany of Martinique; It was a sports morning rich in encounters, exchanges and discoveries; A place to make known to all age groups to remember or learn of Josephine in Martinique but also better appropriating our heritage with his past linked to the sugar House and its memory remains.

  • Having a big fan of Napoleon in the band, we decided to come to this Museum, which tells the story of Josephine, his wife, Empress of France. The visit is short without a guide, but we had some explanations for the staff, very nice by the way. The site is wonderful toutefoos, visiting rich d info. We have bcp likes. The only downside is a very small car park and a paved road to access not very pleasant

  • 5 minutes drive from Trois Ilets, the site is worth the visit. Access via the paved road requires some caution with the car, because the coating is more uneven. The entrance ticket is reasonable, but it must be 10 to qualify for the tour. For those who don't know the history and fate of Josephine, this can be annoying. Concretely, the birthplace of the Empress doesn't exist more ravaged by a cyclone at the beginning of the 19th century (only remain the soubassments typical Creole houses stone), two intact buildings are the sugar mill and the Commons (which welcomes the small museum). Outside of the site is the ruin of the candy. In 1 hour visit is closed.

  • All of France, the Bonapartists, the curious history buffs should make this visit on the PAGERIE and of ORCHARDS of SANOIS, BEAUHARNAIS family. Located in a magnificent site overlooking the sea of the Caribbean, the area of the Pagerie sees in 1763 a girl promised to an extraordinary destiny: Marie-Joseph-Rose Tascher Pagerie, future Josephine, Empress of the French (1763-1814). Josephine spent his first 16 years in the area of La Pagerie, will become the first wife of Napoléon Bonaparte of 1796 to 1809 and Queen of Italy from 1804 to 1809.

  • The Museum provides information about the origin and life of the family Tascher de la Pagerie. Their daughter Joséphine is entered as the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress of France in the history. The exhibition itself, in the former kitchen building, is quite small. Therefore the participation in one of the free, but irregularly scheduled guided tours (mostly in French) is advisable to tell the Museum staff know much. Large, well-kept gardens.
