  • This museum presents in a documented manner (posters, dioramas, artefacts, equipment manufacturing and measurement, etc...) the industrial history of Martinique, with originally the sugar industry which is based on the arms of the slaves, then the industrial age with Central plants, the sugar crisis, and the share casting then taken by the production of rum. Our visit with a duration of 1 h 30 (we arrived late in the day) did not allow us to see everything, read everything, nor to attend the presentation of a film. A must-see by dedicating at least 2 hours

  • Sugar cane museum. Has French and English descriptions. No photos allowed. Free entry.
  • A small museum around the exploitation of cane and repercussions on the island of the. Martinique. We can quickly make the tour but we really care if a good hour and a half pr made the turn between the various panels and point audio listening. Too bad it does not have a point of sale or a stand of cane for example juice. Note that it is located next to a very nice hike!

  • I thought to visit a museum where the sugar cane would explain in far and wide. Nothing at all. It was the 20 panels to read about slavery and the way of life of the time. Very disappointed 😞 no atmosphere.
