Pointe Faula, Le Vauclin

3.4
#1 of 10 in Things to do in Le Vauclin
Cool off in the calm waters and relax on the pristine white sand at Pointe Faula. The beach is protected by a coral reef, and the shallow, warm water stretches out for around 300 m (984 ft), providing a perfect environment for young children to play in. The exposed beach can receive strong winds at times, which makes it popular with wind and kite surfers. Sit back under the palm trees or at a beachside restaurant and marvel at the surfers battling the wind. To visit Pointe Faula on your trip to Le Vauclin, use our Le Vauclin visit planning site .

  • We didn't try the parasailing ourselves, but watched old and young having s blast! Some of them were quite skilled. The water is shallow and perfect for this sport. I think my young adult daughter wil...  more »
  • Nice much of the world. (January 2018) There is a lot of seaweed, but there is always a sandy path in order to bathe leisurely. He should go far in order to bathe

  • Wonderful hidden treasure. This is a beach where you can walk into the sea for at least 300 m with water to the waist. This is very relaxing and fantastic with young children. The waves are minimal. A...  more »

  • A little disappointed by the faula tip called in several essential guides. It is mainly a place for the kit surf and water sports to sensations. There is quite a little love to eat or have a drink, but this isn't really the place dreaming to go to the beach

  • Very special Beach, where you can make a long walk in the ocean

  • Catastrophic. Dirty, plastic that floats, Sargasso in abundance, it stinks, road stoned or you get stuck! the water is Brown and is sinking into the mud. Stay away absolutely if one is not fan of kite surfing. There are so many more nice beaches...

  • How to describe accurately the tip Faula? The first thing that hits you on arrival, is probably the smell of Sargassum and rutted road. After, they are facilities of the UCPA, and finally the small restaurants. The beach, particularly small, offer a little shade, but the seats are expensive. The sea is very deep and will delight the children. Pollution is higher also because waters are more stagnant than elsewhere. The place is very popular water sports, especially windsurfing and kite surfing. Sargasso which are present almost all year round, the place would be very nice. Too bad. On the other hand, the restaurants are good, the staff very professional. Ideal for a Churro or ice cream. It's the kind of place that kids love, parents much less.
