  • Spectacular way to spend a day. Thorough outdoor museum of farm technology, notable trees and plants and modern sculptures scattered around the historical plantation grounds. The sculpture garden is gorgeous and I wonder how it's not touted more in their advertising. The buildings have AC (a godsend) to punctuate your visit with a short film on the distillery and another containing the art museum with two floors of galleries. Each visitor gets an audio guide (available in at least half a dozen languages) and a map with numbered points of interest, from the farm tech to the buildings housing the historical elements of the plantation, including one honoring the visit between Bush and Mitterrand to sign an agreement on an invasion in Iraq (that whole disaster seems to have started here). Anyway, if you go nowhere else on your visit to Martinique, go here!
  • This is by far one of the best attractions we've seen on our tour of the island. The audioguide and exhibits do a great job explaining the rum-making process, and life on the plantation. There is a small art gallery on site, as well as a sculpture garden, and a free tasting at the end of the tour. Very friendly, multilingual staff.
  • Heaven on Earth. And a mighty fine rhum tasting room.
  • Probably one of th best distilling museums in the Caribbean from the stand point of a silent distillery coupled with the original house ( fully furnished) of the owner. A real snap shot in time and a Koji Mo and Steampunk and/or industrial playground with beautiful botanical gardens and art. Highly recommend !!
  • Wonderful experience! You could really imagine and feel how people worked in the distillery years ago. Absolutely stunning garden with trees from all over the world and the rum tasting is of course the best of all.
