Diamond Rock, Le Diamant

Geologic Formation
Giving off a reflection that resembles the precious mineral, Diamond Rock reaches 175 m high (574 ft) above the Caribbean Sea. The basalt rock, which forms a spectacular island rising up against the blue background, is uninhabited and can only be accessed by boat. You can scuba dive around the rock and discover a deep triangular cave secreting healthy sea fans and coral formations. Because the island remains difficult to access, it has acted as a sanctuary for animals that were once considered extinct. Arrange your visit to Diamond Rock and discover more family-friendly attractions in Le Diamant using our Le Diamant vacation route planner.

TripAdvisor
  • fun stop in the closest vantage point to see the diamond rock, beautiful but also understand why it was important once as a strategic point and the scene of many battles for the conquest of this diamond

  • From a distance it seems enigmatic and at his feet, we seem small. I had the chance to dive 2 times at the foot of the Diamond Rock and admire it on and under the water.

  • I find this fascinating rock, the view is exceptional, next to the prone woman, he gives a magic. Must see, one can see several beaches in the South of the martinique! The martinique would be not the martinique without this rock!
