Chateau Dubuc, La Trinite
(4/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Admire the remains of Chateau Dubuc, a former sugar plantation with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Erected in 1721, the chateau fell into disrepair in 1815, having survived earthquakes, cyclones, and looting by British troops. Upon entry, you'll be given a self-guided audio tour (available in both English and French), allowing you to explore the 18th-century ruins at your own pace. Wonder through the spacious grounds, or follow the trail down to the beach to enjoy the cooling sea breeze. Some of the path can be strenuous and hilly, so wear good walking shoes and pack plenty of water and sunscreen. Work out when and for how long to visit Chateau Dubuc and other La Trinite attractions using our handy La Trinite trip itinerary planner.

  • Very nice interesting site for the history of slavery. Very beautiful and responsible site history. Provide sneakers and a hat we walk not bad to see the entire field. The staff there is very friendly. The peninsula is beautiful to see.

  • Hospitality Martinique, the setting, the food. The speed and efficiency. Sure I love the Lamb colombo, the fricassee of lambis and the pancake with butter salt!

  • Very interesting site that traces of the old life. It's a shame that there no pictures of when the site was in full activity. To visit if you are on where in the vicinity of the Caravelle peninsula.

  • Nice to visit !
  • Great place to visit and see a little history of the island from the 1600s
  • The exhibition area of the ruins of Château Dubuc is great, the audio-guide is bilingual (French and English). The over 20 stations can be reached on foot very well, this is unfortunately not always possible as a wheelchair. The visit very worthwhile for us, alone with this backdrop is super.
