Chateau Dubuc, La Trinite

Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Admire the remains of Chateau Dubuc, a former sugar plantation with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Erected in 1721, the chateau fell into disrepair in 1815, having survived earthquakes, cyclones, and looting by British troops. Upon entry, you'll be given a self-guided audio tour (available in both English and French), allowing you to explore the 18th-century ruins at your own pace. Wonder through the spacious grounds, or follow the trail down to the beach to enjoy the cooling sea breeze. Some of the path can be strenuous and hilly, so wear good walking shoes and pack plenty of water and sunscreen. Work out when and for how long to visit Chateau Dubuc and other La Trinite attractions using our handy La Trinite trip itinerary planner.

  • For the ride side was and for the look on this place including the former owners (17th) have a bad reputation... Still a place full of suffering that it is not the number of slaves who "worked"... too bad! the place is worth before you leave for the ride on the peninsula. Essential hats and water!

  • The tour costs € 5 per adult. The audio guide and plan make the very interactive course. Good explanations on this remarkable site. The staff is a source of good advice.
