Watch the harvest period from late February to late June, the rest of time machines are stationary. The shop is under construction but tastings are still possible. The rum is very good!show original
Marc-Philippe MongisGood old rum AOC. The distillery also visited.show original
Vittorio BernasconiThe Favorite is not just a small liquor business, is a still working perfectly, even with an old steam engine and, if you go between January and the end of may, when you can visit rum distilled (but seriously, walking in the middle of the distillery while it is running not as the others) and see live production of rum. You can even see the lady who hand seals the neck of bottles with sealing wax and paste the labels. The black bottle with box and black label for me is the best rum. Has a cost: 130 euros. I would advise you not to buy it at the distillery (is the only one in which they don't do discounts) but buy it at carrefour Genipà where you can find sometimes also on offer in 110 euros. If purchased at the distillery, I suggest you buy a shirt and then get a gift: offer (at least to me they did) two beautiful glasses. Personal advice: If you're in Martinique for a short time during the period when the distillery works and you are passionate about technology and engineering, go for it absolutely, otherwise privileged other distilleries, Clement (which actually now the part open to visitors is a museum with admission fee) or De Paz.show original
