  • The tour begins with a description of the origins of bananas, their history and their exploitation. We learned a lot about the different varieties, their perfume, their benefits and their transformation. 2 types of bananas could be tasted (banana fig) and banana Apple. Once the visits of the main hall exhibition and the Park exposing different banana trees, the small shop to find different products including those based on bananas. The liqueur to bananas produced in Martinique can be tasted and bought. Similarly, we discovered the bananas and a garlic-banana sauce ketchup that marry well with shellfish. These two sauces are delicious and have helped reconcile me with this fruit that I had neglected for many years. There is a restaurant offering dishes around banana and accessible only for lunch. The entrance to the visit is 7 euros. The staff is very nice and accuellant. This tour is ideal for children and adults as well. Axis of improvement: holiday vouchers not accepted, which is a shame for a tourist site.

  • While you know little more than the standard Chiquita banana, at best a plantain and a mini banana now quite common to find in our latitudes, you will be surprised at the banana Museum, how many different varieties of bananas there. The arc range from 'normal' bananas red to black bananas of any size and shape. A huge area with banana trees from around the world will join the Museum where you can learn a lot about the story of the banana and its processing. We were fascinated by the variety. Must see!
