  • This church is quite new compared with the other churches and cathedrals in Malta. It was built by the locals to replace the old one which had become too small. It looks beautiful from outside and can...  more »
  • You don't necessarily expect one of Europe's largest church domes in this small village on Gozo. The Church itself (completed in 1978) is already very impressive, especially it is worth but to go up the elevator (for a donation of 3 euro) to the dome. The external handling of it has magnificent views of the entire island and can climb even the Bell Tower. An experience!

  • One of many stunning churches on Malta and Gozo. Stunning exterior but equally lovely and serene on the inside. The Rotunda js a huge imposing structure and we'll worth a visit. Really nice place.  more »

  • It is a lovely church as it has alot of histroy to it and also has alot of diffrent sculptures that are very beautiful. You can even go up to the top of the church by paying €3 for the lift to take you up were you can see a very beautiful view. I recommend going
  • The church of St. John the Baptist. The guided tour with the priest was very friendly and informative. It's the biggest church in Gozo, it's huge compared to any of its surrounding buildings.
  • You can pay €3 per person to use the elevator to go up to the third floor of the church through the sculpture museum. You can walk around the rotunda and then use the 97 steps to go up to the church clocks and more up to the highest point of the church where is the 360 degrees viewpoint of the island.
  • Beautiful
  • A masterpiece in Maltese limestone and craftsmanship.
