  • Well its a payable service worth using....if you want to visit Valletta and you are 7 floors down you might regret using the 287 stairs to go up so its highly recommended that to go up you use the lif...  more »
  • Fastest way from the top to the wharf and ferries back to cruise ships. Nothing fancy here, its not a tour stop just a fast way to get around. You pay to go up but it is free going back down to the sh...  more »
  • As mentioned, it is an elevator (lift) that you really need to take and thus pay for in order to get to the town. There are stairs but I am sure after climbing all the way up, and thus down later, it ...  more »

  • It is interesting to notice that the lift is free down, but 1 euro upway.
  • Not good for those with vertigo! The lift is free to travel down from the upper gardens, so if you go down, go straight back up! There is a fee to travel upwards from the harbour. This relatively new extension feels quite out of place with its ancient surroundings.
  • free down,but you have to pay upway. But worth it
  • Worth paying 1€ to save your legs from 300 steps. It could be free though.
  • Great way to get from down at the bottom to up top.
