  • The tour buses do stop at the site, but it really isn't the easiest place to get to and I would suggest a car is a better option. If you have a Malta Pass it is on this so entry is free. The site comp...  more »

  • From the map and tourist information, you think to go inside a cave. But it's just a 50m hole in the mountain. The visit starts descending many stairs to get to the cave. Once entered you expect to walk inside the mountain and to see something. But at the end there is only a description of the levels on which they found fossils. Then you get upset when you think to walk down the mountain but you are stopped by a no trespassing chain. The visit goes on going up again to the museum at the entrance where you can see all the fossil bones of many animals. I think it's a site that can be interesting for passionate people about ice age. I saw other impressive caves with fossils but this is not one of those.
  • Not much to see, but what you see is of great interest if you're into prehistory and fossils from that era. The museum is very interesting. As said, not loads to see but very interesting, considering this is the oldest prehistoric site you can visit on an island packed with history.
  • Interesting small cave, around 180.000 years of age with a small nice museum.
  • A fascinating cave and 'back story'. Well worth reading up before you visit.
  • The museum is great, a lot of bones and few skeletons. The cave itself is really nice and quite big. You need to take quite a few stairs to get down to the cave.
