  • Dead fish en masse in huge pieces carved thon, heads cut off: for a visit to the fish market in Malé, it takes strong nerves. But anyone who has a leader who can classify and explain the individual species will learn much about the marine life of the Maldives here.

  • The visit of the smoked fish is not for all the public. But it's a real look of the local culture. Use local money if you want to buy
  • It was a fun experience. Crowded and cluttered. The local population is here, order their fresh fish and then so clear they fish for you to order. The fishing boats are located next to the market where you can see how the fish are thrown away by boats.

  • It's absolutely great to visit. Do not miss the vegetable market which is on the other side of the road. Best time to visit is obviously early in the morning
  • Not like Tsukiji, but very impressive fish working skills here. You can watch the expertise of the fishermen as they clean off the fresh catch.
  • The only place in Maale where you get fresh catch.
  • Sandip das
  • The place is crowded with people
