Sabah Agriculture Park, Tenom depicts activities in agriculture, horticulture, various gardens, model farms and recreational spots. The park has an amazing collection of plants, some of which are very rare or listed as endangered and some were introduced from other parts of the world.

The park also has collection of Hoyas and gingers, unique groups of ornamental plants, and these collections are reputed to be the best in Malaysia. Other attractions of the park include a collection of over 300 native Borneo orchid species in the Native Orchid Centre, various hybrid orchids in the Hybrid Orchid Garden, the Living Museum of Crop Plants, the Bee Centre, the various ornamental gardens and an assortment of birds and animals at the Animal Park and fishes in the lakes.

The park was planned and designed to provide visitors, access to the various exhibition themes and gardens where they can explore and learn more about plants and animals, or just to relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscaped gardens and the lakes, with added recreational opportunities to go cycling, boating and fishing. For the more adventurous visitors, there are jungle trails in the back hill areas, with plenty more to see. There are also projects on agroforestry.

With its rich biodiversity, the park is also well known its collection of indigenous and introduced plant species. These plants are used in agriculture, as well as for ornamental purposes or in the horticulture industry. Some even possess medical properties, and are used by the natives in their traditional medicine. The park is also conservation center for many of the native orchids and other plants (e.g. gingers and hoyas) of Borneo.
