Tanjung Bungah Floating Mosque, Tanjung Bungah

(70+ reviews on the web)
Landmark
Featuring seven-storey-high towering minarets and panoramic views of the sea, Tanjung Bungah Floating Mosque is a wonder of Moorish architecture. The impression of floating is achieved with numerous supporting pillars, sunk deep into the seabed and visible during low tide. Built in 2004, the current building replaced an older mosque damaged in the tsunami. The building is especially lovely in the evenings, when artificial lights reflect in the water. • Beautiful view Near to food court Convience to stop to rest and solat for muslim
  • Annoying, there call to pray can be heard everyday from the aprments nearby.
  • One of the attractions in Penang. Accessible by Rapid Bus, Hop on Hop off service, or by Car. The mosque was built by the shore, and during high tides, the mosque seems to be floating.
  • the only mosque in penang on top of sea
